Join Sam Mangakahia a cultural artist visiting Moloka'i. Learn how to carve your own story through wood and the power behind storytelling.

Time: 12pm - 2:30pm
What's Included:
- History of Polynesian patterns
- Fundamentals of how to use a chisel
- Turning your story into visual representation
- Take home a 6x6 hand-carved wood block of your story you make
Requirements & Details:
ONLY 20 SPOTS AVAILABLE - No experience needed
- Bring water and personal needs (Refill jugs will be available)
- One kit per family
- No food will be available, but personal snacks are allowed
- Ages 5+ can participate in carving activity (younger kids will have a coloring activity)

It's chanting, diving, & connecting. It is a quick six sessions that focuses on main common practitioner foundations of Kilo, Kaona, & Makawalu whilst exploring the Form, Function, & Essence of each Oli to find how it reflects & how it relates to self.
We will have our first class on Nov 6 (Pae 'Aina and 'Aina E via ZOOM), Nov 7 (Maui Hybrid), Nov 18 (Train the trainer program for providers, educators, and healers).
Lewa II and III will continue forth & information for their start dates will be sent accordingly.
